Surfboards, Fights, and Faith: Our Final Days in Hua Hin
Hey you! I am happy you are here! My faith brought you here, My love keeps you here, My heart needs you here, My soul wants you here. Thank you for giving us a chance.
Here is our live stream for the week, you can see us talk here(Who wants to read anyway):
What’s been happening:
Well, after I wrote my last blog my wife and I had some arguments that brought us to a much better understanding. Growth in marriage is just like individual growth. Growth is a process. You gain, you lose, you cry, you grow, you learn, you try, you fail, but you keep trying. Even with our fights we draw nearer to each other by drawing nearer to God and realizing how both of us are holding back from each other. It just sucks when they happen when you are trying to have some time together.

After that we went to Bangkok to pick up one of our daughters. We got a call from her asking us to pick her up early, which is very weird. She usually loves staying with her family, mainly because she has unrestricted use of multiple phones while she is there. Its actually kind of fun when she has a phone there, we exchange weird pics and GIFs. But she called and asked us to go get her and wouldn’t tell us why. We still don’t really know, all she would say is “Po gang new” which means, my dad was teasing me. We have already had problems with this dad and his step daughter but thought his bio-daughter would be safe, hope we weren’t wrong. One day we will know, today is not that day but we will be limiting family interactions, until that day.
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13
We came back that same day and jumped right in the ocean, the boys and I went went some friends and their surf boards and paddled out into the ocean. We went out past the buoy in the picture and back. I should of taken about 20 mins, but David just couldn’t get how to ride the board and took us almost an hour out at sea. It took a long time but it was a blast.
Wind Heading out to sea!
While we were out there I couldn’t stop thinking about this commercial from when I was a kid. I remember it with a surfboard and a Twinkie though.
Then just yesterday I took all of the kids over to a buddies house and while the kids swam, played music and played, my buddy and I made a more effective healing Tiger balm. It was a lot of fun and it was a great way to wind the last few days in Hua Hin down. It was really funny, because my buddy gave my kids the remote and told the kids they could watch whatever they wanted and Win immediately turned on Christian music, then my buddy asked what their favorite movie was and was going to turn it on. My kids said “Sabbah, Sabbah”, which is what they call “Seven brides for Seven brothers”. When I was a kid I used to watch SBFSB with my brothers and grandma and decided to show it to them. It instantly became their favorite and they love singing their interpretations of the soundtrack all the time. My buddies kids were not into it at all and sat there in disbelief as they laughed and sang along with this movie from the 50’s set in the 1800’s. It was hilarious.
Today we are having a very down relaxing day. The kids have been playing all morning and now while I write, I let the kids watch The Chosen, in Thai while I pump this out and my wife gets a break at the gym. Its a very relaxing day and we will be going swimming as soon as I get done with all of this! Then tomorrow will be our last day here.
We love being here but after awhile it just get old and we get tired of being away from everything and it is so hot here!!! So we are excited about heading home!
